Description: he DARKWING program is looking for a Systems Engineer to join our team at a classified site at White Sands, NM. The Systems Engineer must have a TS/SCI clearance with an adjudicated CI polygraph. We are seeking a highly motivated Systems Engineer to support efforts and serve as an interface to coordinate and perform program efforts and activities at our customer site. The Systems Engineer position supports a factory team and provides exposure to various technologies. The Systems Engineer should have IT engineering experience with Windows & Linux operating systems and be prepared to learn a variety of software and applications to include: Virtual Machines, Systems integration, SQL/Postgres Database, Network Integration, hardware procurement, COTS software, and maintenance of operating systems. The Systems Engineer must be experienced in troubleshooting IT anomalies and failures. The Systems Engineer must be familiar with Security Engineering for IC Security controls such as ICD503 certifications, defining workflows and monitoring for system compliance. The Systems Engineer must have strong inter-personal and communication skills and must be capable of successfully explaining procedures in writing and verbally. This is a day staff position, however weekend/evening or call-in work may occasionally be required in support of maintenance activities or in support of a 24x7 operations team.

Basic Qualifications:

*Experience w/ IT System Engineering, defining, and documenting system requirements

*Active TS/SCI clearance with adjudicated CI polygraph

*Troubleshooting Systems/OS anomalies and failures

*Experience with Windows Operating Systems

*Experience with LINUX Systems

*VSphere management/configuration

*ESXI Servers, virtual environment

*Sec + (or higher) certified

Desired Skills:

**Basic Database Manipulation/Modification highly desired**

*Skills related to network, diagnostics, and optimization

*Capable of representing the program in customer meeting to provide status of action items and issues

*Juniper network experience

*SPLUNK Experience

*Project Engineering / Execution experience

*Familiar with Software development techniques and implementation a plus

*Working knowledge of Data Centers

*Planning of system development activities

*Configuration management methods and practices

* Be detailed oriented and have strong written, oral and analytical skills

*Work independently or within a team environment

*System Installations, upgrades, configurations, software installation, troubleshooting user interface and support, operations, and maintenance

*Script writing/Comp Language – SHELL scripting, C#; HTML; SQL, PowerShell

*Knowledge of various protocols such as DNS, SMTP, NFS, FTP, Telnet, SSH, etc.

*Be part of a team to review/refine/execute project activities including documentation

*Recent hands-on in the areas of systems integration, verification and validation of large, complex systems into enterprise infrastructure baselines

*Satellite Server/WSUS Patching Capabilities

*Attention to detail when composing technical documentation, manuals and procedures

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: Standard Monday to Friday 40 hour work week
