Certified Behavioral Health Technician at Amador Health Center, Inc. We are seeking a compassionate Certified Behavioral Health Technician to join our team.
Are you passionate about mental health? If you are a dedicated certified medical assistant, who is willing to become a certified behavioral health technician or learn about mental health or specialized behavioral health training, join our behavioral/mental health program, youll support our behavioral health team in providing high-quality care to patients with mental health and substance use disorders.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in implementing treatment plans and administering medication.
Check vital signs and monitor behavior patterns.
Provide direct care and document patient progress.
Facilitate group and individual therapy sessions.
Conduct patient assessments and screenings.
Collaborate with healthcare providers for coordinated care.
Educate patients and families about treatment plans.
Offer specialized support to LGBTQ patients.
Maintain accurate patient records.
Support crisis intervention efforts.
Minimum Qualifications:
Certification as a Behavioral Health Technician (CBHT) or current New Mexico Certification as a Medical Assistant.
1-2 years of experience as in a behavioral health setting.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Preferred:
High school diploma or GED; Associates or Bachelors degree preferred.
Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
