Paid Bi-Weekly

The Florida Department of Veterans’ Affairs (FDVA) seeks to hire talented and dedicated individuals who share our commitment to excellence. The incumbent in this position serves as a Distributed Computer Systems Specialist reporting to the Distributed Computer Systems Analyst II.
Minimum Qualifications:
2 + Years’ MFMP experience with a State of Florida agency.
2+ Years’ asset management experience with a State of Florida agency.
2+ Years’ current customer support experience using Cloud technologies
Possess and maintain a current driver’s license and travel within the State of Florida
Ability to lift and transport up to 50 lbs. of equipment.
Successful completion of a Level II Background Screening and due diligence process.
Preferences:
Possess an FCCM certification.
Experience with Microsoft Entra.
Annual Starting Salary: $45,781.21-$47,612.50
Starting salary will fall within the range of $45,781.21 - $47,612.50 and will depend upon the top candidate’s level of experience and education.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Creates purchase requests/receipts using MyFlorida MarketPlace. Ensures quotes are within the allowed limits per state law. Receives orders, stages provisioning, and receives invoices for payment. Assigns asset tags to procured equipment including desktops, laptops, kiosk, timeclocks, workstation on wheels, med carts, treatment carts, smartphones, tablets, and printers adhering to established policies. Manages the annual inventory procedures per state law. Performs monthly audits of all computer equipment including desktops, laptops, kiosk, timeclocks, workstation on wheels, med carts, treatment carts, printers, FIDO2 keys, and SaaS licensing adhering to established policies. Decommissions computer equipment and surpluses computer equipment monthly. Provides customer support using Dynamics 365 Self-Service Portal.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Possess the ability to control computer system functions, identifying underlying principles, reasons, or facts by breaking down information or data into separate parts. Critical thinking skills are necessary to observe, receive, and otherwise obtain information from all relevant sources. Procurement and asset management procedures, utilization of equipment, and knowledge of office procedures. Ability to install, troubleshoot and maintain office automation equipment. Ability to interpret and respond to computer errors using technical problem-solving techniques. Ability to communicate technical information effectively. Ability to multitask while monitoring computing systems components. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
Other Job Related Requirements:
Working hours Monday – Thursday 7AM – 6PM. 1 Hour lunch.
Travel 25% – 50% within the State of Florida.
