Job Responsibilities

As a growing company, Danfoss Editron is seeking motivated individuals to contribute to our success. We are looking for a talented Software Test Engineer to join our diverse team.

In this role, you will play a critical part in developing and ensuring the reliability of software for electrifying on- and off-highway vehicles. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Participate in design and development of test automation frameworks and testing infrastructure.

  • Specify and develop test cases according to software requirements.

  • Participate in analysis and derivation of software requirements.

  • Write test specifications and generate formal test evidence suitable for ISO 26262 and ASPICE compliance.

  • Co-operate with software developers, architects, and other software test engineers.

Background & Skills

We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

  • B.Sc. or equivalent in software engineering or electrical engineering with 3+ years’ experience in software testing.

  • Good understanding of automated unit, integration and system testing.

  • Experience with Python and Robot Framework (or similar).

  • Experience with some DevOps and requirements management tool.

  • Basic understanding of software development in C and/or C++.

  • Being an effective team player, yet not afraid of working independently or taking responsibility.

  • Good oral and written communication skills in English.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

Appreciated skills and qualifications

  • M.Sc. or D.Sc. in software engineering or electrical engineering with 5+ years’ experience in software testing.

  • Understanding of functional safety requirements for software testing (especially ISO 26262) and experience of developing software for automotive industry with ASPICE compliant process.

  • Understanding of cyber security requirements for software testing (especially ISO 21434).

  • Experience in Hardware-in-Loop testing.

  • Understanding of power electronic converters and electric traction systems.
