Registered Nurse (RN) Full Time Position in the OR at Northwest Health - La Porte Hospital
New pay rates available!
Full time: 40 hours per week, Five - 8 hour shifts per week
Hours: varied based on staffing. 6:45am or 8:45am start time
Weekend and holiday rotation required, call required

About our Unit:
Northwest Health - La Porte utilizes technology and treatments to deliver surgical care in a wide range of specialties. We offer minimally invasive options, including arthroscopy,laparoscopyand endoscopy.
Specialties include: Openheartandvascular surgery, Gastrointestinal surgery, General surgery, Podiatric surgery, Opthalmologicalsurgery,Gynecological surgery
Nurses on this unit care for patients before, during, and after surgical procedures and work on everything from life-saving procedures to elective ones. Nurses on this unit should have previous hospital experience at an intermediate care level at minimum. Previous surgical services experience preferred.

Just off the shores of Lake Michigan in Northern Indiana, Northwest Health - La Porte has been the heart of healthcare in La Porte for more than 40 years. La Porte is a 227-bed hospital providing acute care with strong programs in cardiology, orthopedics, surgical services, emergency care, oncology and maternal health. As of October 2020, our new and improved La Porte location opened. This location features the latest technology for our staff and providers. Our hospital is La Porte’s only stroke center and nationally accredited chest pain center.

Education:
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN/ASN) required, BSN preferred.
Licensure & Certification:
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Indiana.
BLS certification must be maintained while in this position
ACLS certification within 12 months of hire, must be maintained while in this position
Experience:
- 1 year of hospital experience preferred
