Associates may be asked to | | perform additional duties as assigned by their leader. Leadership has | | the right to alter or modify the duties of the position. | | | | | | | | - Analyzes disease processes with the use of ultrasound through the | | selection of appropriate procedures and techniques. | | - Coordinates post and present medical history of patient in | | reference to ultrasound examinations. | | - Schedules and instructs the patient in reference to ultrasound. | | - Reviews current imaging techniques and interpretations to assure | | current information. | | - Furnishes occasional immediate results to appropriate medical | | personnel derived from ultrasound procedure. | | - Performs basic equipment maintenance and quality assurance. | | - Compiles a daily log of patients. | | - Provides assistance and guidance as needed to Non-Registered | | Sonographers. | | - Maintains stock supplies and performs general office duties. | | - Prepares and schedules patients for examinations. | | - Prepares material, supplies, jackets and most recent examination | | for next day procedures. | | | | | | | | | | | | ## Job Requirements | | | | ---------------------------------- -------------- | | --------------------------------------------------------------------- | | --------------------------------------------------------------------- | | --------------------------------------------------------------------- | | General Requirements • Registered | | or registry eligible with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medica | | l Sonographers (ARDMS) or American Registry of Radiologic Technology | | (ARRT) • Diagnostic Echo and Vascular Certification • Additional cert | | Work Experience • None | | Education | | • Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound program | | Specialized Knowledge an | | d Skills • Possesses skills and knowledge of cross section anatomy. | | ---------------------------------- -------------- | | --------------------------------------------------------------------- | | --------------------------------------------------------------------- | | --------------------------------------------------------------------- | | | | | | | | | | | | University of Michigan Health-Sparrow is an Equal | | Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
