Peckham Inc. - Security Technician

SUMMARY

The Security Technician position supports physical security efforts to protect the Riverside facility from unauthorized entry, theft, or harm. The Security Technician coordinates with the Peckham facilities team to ensure customer and team member requirements are met and maintained to provide a safe and secure work environment. This position requires someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment and has strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Admin i ster the Peckham physical security and safety program

  • Administer the Peckham Contact Center Solutions physical security program

  • Coordinate with Peckham Facilities Team regarding building maintenance issues

  • Maintain safe and clean work environment

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Routinely perform interior and exterior patrols on premises to make sure building doors and emergency exits remain secure

  • Escort personnel and vendors as needed

  • Add modify and remove door access privileges

  • Monitor security cameras and report concerns

  • Issue and delete locker assignments to secure personal property

  • Keep updated on corporate security and safety procedures, Peckham emergency policies and attend trainings

  • Support emergency response processes and procedures

  • Record emergency and non-emergency calls and incidents

  • Conduct Fire and Tornado evacuation drills

  • Promote Peckham’s vision values and services to all customers and stakeholders

  • Assist in maintaining organizational wide quality standards

  • Other related duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This position does not have direct supervisory responsibility

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience

  • Pass federal and state security background checks,

  • Obtain and maintain federal and state security clearances including Industrial Security Clearance, IT 2, and Moderate Risk Public Trust

  • U.S. Citizenship required due to contract regulations

  • Ability to interact professionally with staff and team members throughout Contact Center Solutions as well as client contacts

  • Ability to present information in a classroom setting

  • Ability to positively handle multiple interruptions and adjustments to priorities throughout the day.

  • Be flexible to handle multiple responsibilities while meeting deadlines

  • Demonstrate working knowledge of Office 365 Suite (Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook)

  • Ability to operate basic security equipment and systems

  • Motivated, self-directed, detail-oriented individual

  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience working with persons living with a disability
