Description:

The Infrastructure Supervisor manages and monitors all installed systems and infrastructure. The Infrastructure Supervisor installs, configures, tests, and maintains operating systems, application software, and system management tools. The Infrastructure Supervisor proactively ensures the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability, while maintaining security, backup, and redundancy strategies. The Infrastructure Supervisor writes and maintains custom scripts to increase system efficiency/automation and lower human intervention time on tasks. The Infrastructure Supervisor provides third tier/second escalation support and coordinates work activities within the Infrastructure Team, including scheduling upgrades and maintenance activities. The Infrastructure Supervisor also manages the availability, integrity, and overall operation of applications and the related infrastructure across several business units and IT products ensuring continuity and achieving a high level of performance and availability.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Strategizes with the IT Services Manager and coordinates with intradepartmental supervisors to meet goals and objectives of the department

• Manages the Infrastructure Team by training and coaching, communicating job expectations, and evaluating their performance

• Identifies and provides recommendations to IT Services Manager

• Oversees the execution, enforcement, and monitoring of systems ensuring that proper application and endpoint monitoring is in place to alert on any support issues

• Plans and manages maintenance schedules, access, and security levels on managed systems to ensure system security, uptime, and availability

• Keeps management informed in major incident situations to support decisions effecting business continuity; develops crisis procedures that evaluates, substantiates, and defends business continuity; delivers crisis procedure options to management

• Derives future operations and infrastructure requirements from the analysis of system data (system logs, performance metrics, performance counters) to drive performance improvement and support the end user with highly available systems

• Participates in the evaluation, testing, and recommendation of new software and computer hardware configurations being evaluated

• Manages the configuration and operation of client-based computer operating systems

• Upgrades systems and processes as required for enhanced functionality and security incident resolution

• Manages Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 product deployment, license management, user management, user security requirements, and infrastructure requirements

SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manages and maintains user access lists, system access permissions, email access, and user logon-scripts

• Performs all other duties, as requested by the IT Services Manager

• Performs all other duties as assigned

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered in lieu of the degree when the experience has been directly related to the functions of the job

• 15years or more of related work experience in infrastructure management and maintenance

• Experience with VMware, Microsoft 365, Azure, and SCCM

• Networking experience with routing and switching

• Essential understanding of cyber security and organizational security needs

• Experience with Veeam, WhatsUp Gold Monitoring, Microsoft Defender preferred

• Other combinations of education and experience may be evaluated on an individual basis
