Job Description
This position provides secretarial support to the directors of the Michigan Community Service Commission, Michigan Women’s Commission and Office of Rural Prosperity. The position assists LEO staff, constituencies, stakeholders, clients and the public, while representing the Department and implementing sound judgment and maintaining strict confidentiality. Responsibilities include assisting with scheduling, submitting financial reimbursements, compiling information, screening incoming calls, correspondence, and requests for meetings with the various directors. Duties will also include composing correspondence for signature, scheduling meetings, assisting with conferences, appointments and making travel arrangements.

Experience
Five years of administrative support experience where use of a personal computer to prepare correspondence, reports, charts, etc., or to enter/retrieve/update information is an essential part of the work, including two years equivalent to advanced (8) level administrative support work, Secretary E8, or Legal Secretary E8; or, one year equivalent to a Secretary 9, Legal Secretary 9, or Senior Executive Management Assistant 9.

Vacation and Sick Leave:Eligible full-time employees receive between15 and 35 personal daysand 13 sick daysper year that may be rolled over to the following year if not used. Eligible employees also receive an additional day each year for community service or school functions.
Paid Parental Leave:Eligible employees can take 12 weeks of paid leaveimmediately after a birth or adoption to allow needed time together at home with a new child.
Paid Holidays:Eligible employees receive 13 or 14 paid holidays each year including New Year’s Eve and Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents’ Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, the Fourth of July, Labor Day, Election Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving Friday, Christmas Eve and Day.
