EXCITING OPPORTUNITY: GENERAL MAINTENANCE MECHANIC/PLUMBER Are you a versatile maintenance expert with a knack for plumbing? CAES is on the lookout for a dynamic General Maintenance Mechanic/Plumber to join our dedicated team in Lansdale, PA. If you are someone who is technically minded, energetic, and knowledgeable of the full range of plumbing and piping systems & equipment typical of a light industrial work environment, then we want to hear from you! This position will perform a wide variety of routine maintenance and operations activities to ensure that facilities infrastructure operates safely, properly and without any unplanned interruption(s) such that production can proceed unimpeded. Perform routine preventive and predictive maintenance of facilities infrastructure systems, equipment and components. Evaluate and troubleshoot malfunctions of facilities infrastructure systems, equipment and components. Diagnose problems and perform corrective maintenance so as to avoid production delays. Operate the fire water system (e.g. supply and drain valves). Assist with the installation of new, and the modification of existing, building equipment and systems. Regularly perform rounds, and inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe conditions, proper functionality, etc. Respond immediately and appropriately to emergency situations. May be requested to work hours outside of standard work day possibly to include weekends. Be on-call 1 week at a time, several times a year. Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, laws, as well as CAES policy, procedures and practices, related to building operations and working safely. Able to work in a team environment. Qualifications
HS Diploma or GED. 4+ years of direct professional Plumber experience. Experience with hand tools, power tools, various types of ladders and lifts, etc. Ability to manage multiple priorities, as well as vendor partners, at any given time. Fluency in reading and evaluating operating and maintenance instructions as well as construction drawings (e.g. architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, etc.) and specifications. Ability to learn and utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software (e.g. FM Works) Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate and collaborate with most levels of the organization. Basic computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite and technology such as smart phones, tablets, web-based applications, building automation systems, etc. Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a "US Person" under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license) Salary Range: Principal Maintenance Mechanic: $34.29 to $42.35 an hour. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
