Location: This role is 100% remote. Role Summary: DTI is seeking an Automation Tester with experience building and executing automated test cases for SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) cloud-based application, following BDD/TDD frameworks for test development and execution using automation across the test delivery. Responsibilities: Automates testing across the application SOA architecture at UI, API, Services, Microservices, Performance, Data, Integration and layers across technologies, cloud-based application - Web / Desktop, Cloud, Browsers, Client server. Works along with team to build optimized test scenarios, develop models and BDD/TDD framework for developing test cases, develop automation, execute test cases, resolve technical issues, manage defect cycle, mentor, and enable skills of the team and to provide technical direction to the team. Performs automated testing, web API services testing, technical testing, business domain, testing method/tools in Agile methodologies and CICD delivery. Takes initiative in writing unit tests and actively contributes to enhancing the existing testing frameworks and methodologies. Executes regression test scripts within a QA environment in a manual and automatic fashion to support scheduled and unscheduled releases. Perform analysis of documents, reports, escalates, triages, and resolves issues, defects, or bugs found during testing. Designs, develops, and maintains automated test scripts. Creates and enhances test cases, ensuring comprehensive coverage of functional and non-functional requirements. Participates in code reviews to ensure testability and maintainability. Collaborates with developers, business analysts, and quality assurance teams to understand requirements and acceptance criteria. Identifies and reports defects, tracks their resolution, and verifies fixes. Performs regression testing to validate software changes. Promotes best practices for test automation, including maintainable code, reusable components, and efficient test data management. Executes automated tests as part of the continuous integration and delivery pipeline. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a computer related field. Five (5) years of experience as an Automation Tester. Experience with automated testing for SOA cloud-based applications for functional integration, Web services, Microservices, Web API, Regression, Performance, and volume testing. Expertise using, managing, and/or testing API Gateway tools and Rest APIs. Experience with test automation frameworks and tools such as JUnit, TestNG, Selenium, SOAP UI, ReadyAPI, Parasoft SOAtest w/Loadtest, LOADRUNNER, GitHub, Eggplant, Subject7, JIRA, JMETER, IBM Rational tools, RFT, EWM, ELM, ETM, etc. Knowledge in installing, configuring, troubleshooting testing software, licensing, security certificates and applying changes to build test architecture for integration regression and performance testing. Experience in writing test steps/cases/data from team discussions and use cases. Experience with Agile development, Kanban boards and DevOps practices. Experience with developing and executing automated testing and configuring testing tools and test execution. Clearance Requirement: Active IRS (Internal Revenue Service) MBI (Minimum Background Investigation) Clearance. Preferred: Java and Python programming knowledge. Current IRS Laptop.
