We are searching for a diligent Accounting Clerk for our client located in LANHAM, Maryland. In this role, you will be tasked with handling accounts payable and receivable, invoice entry and preparation, and making follow-up calls to customers and clients as needed. This job offers a contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the accounts payable and receivable functions

• Generate and enter invoices with accuracy and precision

• Conduct follow-up calls to customers and clients to facilitate payment

• Ensure accurate record-keeping of all customer credit applications

• Monitor customer accounts and execute necessary action

• Manage the reconciliation of accounts

• Handle payroll duties as required

• Respond to and direct incoming phone calls

• Maintain a high level of organization and competency in all tasks

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role or relevant field

• Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processing

• Advanced data entry skills, with attention to detail and accuracy

• Experience in invoice processing and entering invoices into systems

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data management and financial reporting

• Experience with QuickBooks for accounting processes and financial management

• Ability to handle collections, ensuring timely payment of invoices

• Experience in payroll processing, ensuring accurate and on-time payments

• Knowledge in invoice management and payment processing
