Job Title: Grade Foreman

$43-$47/hr

Job Description

Specializing in grading and paving for parking lots, with an additional concrete division. This role involves working with a crew of 3-4 people, including a grader, skid steer, and laborer. The Grade Foreman reports to one of the Superintendents and starts the day with a safety/hazards talk. Responsibilities include directing the crew, coordinating daily layouts, operating tools and machines as needed, managing timecards, pay, and scheduling questions, ensuring cost savings, ordering gravel, and determining when to cut off trucks.

Skills Requirements:

• 1-2 years experience as a Lead Hand or Foreman

• Experience with grading, sloping and paving

• Clean driver's abstract

• Clean shaven (respirator needed)

Work Environment

Monday to Friday day shift, typically 8-12 hour days (10-hour days are most common). Occasional Saturday work depending on the project. Projects range from Abbotsford to North Vancouver, usually lasting a week before moving to the next project. Plant located in New Westminster, office in Langley.
