The primary objective of this position is to improve quality. The Staffing Analyst Coordinator is responsible for organizing and directing staffing analysts to maximize utilization in meeting the needs of SMMC patients. This is an ongoing process subject to rapid change. This position must be able to function in a close collegial working relationship with Directors, Nurse Managers, and Administrative Nursing Supervisors. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently are required. The Staffing Analyst Coordinator must be able to communicate well with staff to build trust and credibility.

Monitors staffing needs and obtains staffing for immediate and projected patient care needs, adjusting the quantity and quality based on patient needs. Arranges for additional staff or deletion of staff based on data presented using the budget compliance grid and input from Nurse Manager/Administrative Nurse Supervisor.

The incumbent will determine the staffing for the 7p-730am shift for Nursing.

Educational/Experience Requirements: High School Diploma required; 1 year technical or 1 year of college preferred. 1 year of relevant experience required with 2-4 years preferred.
