Description:
Provides accurate diagnostic and therapeutic test results to the responsible health care provider with minimal supervision using appropriate laboratory equipment.
Schedule: per diem, evening shift (3:00pm-11:30pm) and weekends as needed
Utilizes quality control for decision making on a routine basis to establish standards
Communicates critical values in accordance with departmental policy
Recognizes abnormal results and takes appropriate action in accordance with departmental policy
Accurately performs STAT and routine orders within established time limitsConsistently demonstrates team work
Prioritizes workload based on volume
Adequately collects and/or processes specimens
Safely performs all routine maintenance procedures
Performs and evaluates instrument functions
Performs other related duties as required
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree & ASCP or NCA eligible or equivalent-initial certification required
Master's Degree & 2-4 years experience preferred
