Our client in PA, just next to Trenton NJ is looking to add a Mechanical Design Engineer to their growing team! If you have a great mechanical aptitude, skilled in 3D CAD modeling and FE analysis this opportunity could be great for you. We are looking for someone who is experienced in designing multi-axis continuous duty industrial equipment, and has exposure to robotics and industrial automation. responsibilities:

• Design and optimize mechanical components for powertrain systems

• Design and detail fabricated weldments and machined components

• Components include frames, brackets, shafts, couplings, flanges, housings, clutches, etc.

• Conduct mechanical system analysis, including Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for structural, fatigue, thermal, vibration, and acoustic evaluations

• Analyze and specify electro-mechanical and electro-hydraulic systems

• Create manufacturing drawings in compliance with relevant standards

• Coordinate with external vendors for component selection, manufacturing, and assembly

• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports

• Collaborate with system engineers and other team members to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical guidance

• Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other documentation to assess feasibility, cost, and maintenance needs of designs or applications

• Specify system components or oversee modifications to ensure compliance with engineering design and performance requirements
