This is an Interim Surgical Services Manager

Assignment length is 13 weeks with option to extend

Responsible for operating room unit and OR scheduling department actively over a twenty-four (24) hour period including the development and implementation of both standards of care and a quality improvement plan for the units.

The primary objective of this position is to improve quality care of our patients and colleague satisfaction. The Nurse Manager for OR is assigned defined leadership duties such as evaluation of nursing progress and performance during probation, post orientation phase and ongoing. Focus on fostering independence and educational development of novice and existing nursing staff. The Nurse Manager will assist with schedules and Kronos payroll, as well as participating in annual performance evaluations. She/he will be involved with complaint resolution as well as ensuring adherence to department standards and policies. She/he is responsible for the evaluation and prioritization of activities to meet the changing unit demands on a shift-to-shift basis, including evening and night shifts. She/he is directly responsible to provide continuity of leadership through clinical leads and charge nurses on off shifts. Direct reports to the Nurse Manger include Clinical Leads, Specialty service coordinators, RNs, RNFAs, CSTs, CSTFAs, Anesthesia supervisor and techs, orderlies and OR surgical scheduling office. Facilitate monthly staff meetings and daily huddles. Maintain units ready for regulatory inspections at all times

Minimum Requirements

  • Current, valid Pennsylvania RN license required

  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.

  • Current BLS

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership experience in perioperative services is required.

  • Excellent communication skills and service orientation required.

Pay $3200.00 Gross weekly rate plus $1275 tax free stipend or

Trinity Health FirstChoice will pay housing and travel above the weekly rate
