Job Description

Incumbent must live in a daily commutable distance to Lancaster, PA.

We are an established group of engineers inside Bosch Security and Safety Systems, Inc. developing surveillance camera products. Our small team of software development and testing engineers develops and tests software for moving cameras including imaging and motion control. We also test software for state-of-the-art video analytics features critical to the advancement of world class products for moving cameras. These video analytic product features, such as auto-tracking and intelligent video analytics, help enhance the security and safety of enterprises around the world. Our software allows security personnel to perform security monitoring tasks with greater ease.

We are looking for a co-op/intern who is interested in collaborating with the embedded software test team to develop software modules for our Automated Test Framework using Visual C++, Power shell, and Python for Pan-Tilt-Zoom functionality. The co-op/intern must also have a desire to collaborate with the embedded software test team members to further expand existing automated software test modules and test environment for checking the camera operations. This work also includes manual testing of our products using established test scripts using our test management tool.

The co-op/intern will learn from embedded software test engineers to design and implement high quality software tests using NUnit. The co-op/intern will be integrated into an agile development process and will learn entire software development life cycle including design, analysis, coding, testing, iterating, and documenting.

Opportunities exist to participate in agile development of artificial intelligence (AI) audio event discrimination to further enhance our product capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in at least one programming language: C, C++, Visual C++, Python, PowerShell

  • Software development knowledge and experience

  • Some knowledge of Computer Vision processing and tools (e.g. OpenCV) preferred

  • Knowledge of Android OS preferred

  • Some knowledge of App development on Android platform preferred

  • Knowledge of Linux OS (optional)

  • Ability to understand and develop new logic flow

  • Comfortable performing repetitive tasks

  • Strong problem solving skills and analytical frame of mind

Requirements :

  • Must currently be enrolled in a relevant degree program such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics

  • Must be able to commit to a minimum co-op/intern duration of 3 months

  • Must be able to work at least 16-hour work schedule

  • Local applicants strongly preferred

  • Minimum GPA 3.0 required
