Robert Half Sr. Financial Analyst in Lancaster, Pennsylvania

Description

Lancaster County client is seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst to join their team. This position is to execute critical business analysis and financial plans for the plant and business operations and for the manufacturing and marketing leaders of our business. The analysis must be accurate and timely with adequate options and sensitivity to drive key business and financial decisions.

The holder of this position prepares monthly journal entries from worksheets, maintains daily records for inventory elements, performs monthly reconciliations related to inventory and cost accounting.

Key Accountabilities

· Actively participates in executing and reporting progress against both tactical and strategic direction for the operation including financial and non-financial metrics.

· Provides financial analysis and alternatives for marketing on setting prices and driving the richest product mix for the location.

· Maintain financial and cost control systems to provide accurate and timely information.

· Daily review and reconciliation of inventory transactions.

· Perform monthly reconciliation between Oracle and the AS400 system and prepare adjusting journal entries to book to the general ledger.

· Prepares monthly journal entries from worksheets, maintains daily records for inventory elements, performs monthly reconciliations related to inventory and cost accounting.

· Participates in the budgeting and reporting process.

· Provide profitability analysis for commercial pricing and production productivity.

· Prepare economic models for capital expenditure.

Requirements

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting from an accredited institution.

· Minimum 4+ years`s experience of Finance, Accounting, and Business Analysis/Planning experience.

· Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

· Understanding of computerized reporting systems, query tools, and internal controls.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

· Financial or accounting experience in a manufacturing environment

· Experience with standard costing systems and budgets

· Advanced experience in Excel and PowerPoint including VBA, complex formulas, and Think-Cell

· Experience with Oracle (EPM, SmartView, EBS General Ledger and Discoverer.)

· Experience with compliance requirements resulting from SOX and US GAAP
