Position Description:
Lancaster General Health Physicians Pain Management is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join their team. Led by board-certified physicians that have specific training and expertise in pain management, along with our APP providers, our program offers high level & patient centered care for patients experiencing persistent pain as a result of injury, illness or surgery. Our program is designed to treat pain without surgery or opioid medications. With expertise in conditions such as herniated discs, radiculopathy, cervical and lumbar degenerative disc disease, to procedures such as Epidural Steroid Injections, Radiofrequency Ablations, Kyphoplasty, and Spinal Cord Stimulators trials, LGHP Pain Management offers a full spectrum of Pain Management care in one location. We also support the Ambulatory Surgical Facility on our premises where we do our outpatient pain management procedures. The position is 100% outpatient. As a member of our team, you will participate in an on-call rotation to help cover calls regarding post-procedure questions or concerns after hours, via telephone only. We are excited to teach the neurological exam, image interpretation as well as clinical expertise in diagnosis and management of a wide variety of pain management conditions to an interested, motivated candidate. r
Hours: Full-time with hours primarily between 8:00 am-4:00 pm Monday – Friday with on-call requirement. Current call expectation is approximately one week every 5-7 weeks (will discuss further during interview process).
Minimum Requirements:
Physician Assistant
Current licensure as a Physician Assistant by PA Board of Medicine.
Graduate of Accredited Physician Assistant training program.
Minimum one-year experience as a Physician Assistant is preferred.
Valid, unrestricted federal Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) number
Credentialed by the medical staff in accordance with current policy and procedure.
Nurse Practitioner
Valid Pennsylvania licensure as a Registered Nurse
Certification by ANCC or other qualifying agency in area of specialty required.
Valid Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner license and Certificate of Prescriptive Authority in Pennsylvania
Minimum one-year experience as a Nurse Practitioner is preferred
Credentialed by the medical staff in accordance with current policy and procedure.
