As a Manufacturing Reliability Site Resource (Continuous Improvement), we’re looking for an individual that can take a new approach on what otherwise might be ordinary. You will play a key role on the Kellogg manufacturing team by driving overall plant initiatives to improve OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and delivering cost savings through building capability in KWS (Kellogg Work Systems) methodologies, systems, and tools.

HERE'S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Drive Change – Continually expanding and enhancing knowledge levels of Kellogg Work Systems, lean manufacturing and industry “best in class” manufacturing, cost savings projects and operational practices to develop a culture of continuous improvement. Provide training for operations, leadership and plant associates on KWS methodologies, systems and tools. Supporting plant implementation of AM (Autonomous Maintenance) and RM (Reliability Maintenance) by developing capabilities in operations and support teams.

  • Cost Savings– Organize and facilitate cost saving ideation sessions. Champion KWS systems and tools such as Zero Loss Analysis in order to identify plant losses and process inefficiencies. Work closely with the plant financial staff to analyze, track and monitor all plant cost savings projects. Execute individual high dollar cost savings projects that successfully deliver results.

  • Continuous Improvement- Deploying and coaching Lean practices such as 5S, Value Stream Mapping, AM and Kellogg Work Systems tools across all levels of the organization to deliver site OEE and cost savings goals. Lead Kaizen events to implement standard work, reduce waste and improve processes. Facilitate cross-functional problem-solving sessions using DMAIC principles to understand and drive to elimination of root cause.

  • Strategize to Win – Champion Standard Work, Visual Tools and other Lean tools in order to assist Leadership in developing a culture of continuous improvement at all levels in the organization. Collaborate with Maintenance Reliability, plant associates and front-line leaders to identify and troubleshoot chronic and acute losses utilizing data analysis and basic root cause problem-solving techniques. Support the operations of the plant through DDS (daily direction setting) along with coaching frontline leaders and associates on various DMS (daily management systems).

  • Empower Teams - Identifying process inefficiencies and lead activities using cross-functional resources to deliver business results. Supporting team approaches to solving problems, maintaining positive and productive relations with the hourly associates, plant management team, sister plant resources, and corporate resources. Benchmarking and best practice sharing across the organization.

  • Analysis, and Visualization – Critical to our success will be the ability to create data driven insights. Become a leader in our analytics journey by analyzing and visualizing a variety of data that enables better decisions and faster actions.

YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in technical or business field

• Manufacturing experience in operations, quality control, logistics or continuous improvement

• Demonstrated data analysis, problem solving, planning and risk assessment skills.

• Working knowledge of SAP and Production loss systems

• Experience driving/leading Continuous Improvement efforts including Change Management

• Experience coaching Small Group Activity teams through loss identification, loss elimination and loss prevention.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Bonus Points:

• Lean Certification

• Six Sigma / Green Belt

• Experience with SMED, Center Lining, TPM, AM & Value Stream Mapping

• Minitab

• Experience in Food and Beverage or Pharmaceutical Manufacturing

• Experience in a union environment

Salary Range: [ $98,936 - $136,037 ]
