Job Title: 1st Shift - Production Supervisor

Job Description

Are you ready to take on a pivotal role in a dynamic food manufacturing environment? We are seeking a Production Operations Supervisor with robust knowledge in food manufacturing to manage and enhance day-to-day operations at our facility. This vital position involves planning, organizing, directing, and running optimal daily operations to ensure safe and efficient facility functionality. Your responsibility will encompass managing the workforce, overseeing training programs, utilizing reports and metrics, and ensuring the production of the highest quality product in compliance with FDA regulations.

Hard Skills

• Experience in food manufacturing

• Expertise in equipment operations including dry granular conveyance and rail car unloading systems

• Knowledge of liquid manufacturing processes and support infrastructure (boilers, CIP, pumps, piping, silos, batching technology)

• Ability to manage time and attendance software for employee timecards, requests, and schedules

• Proficiency in cleaning and sanitization of equipment per GMP processes

Soft Skills

• Leadership and team management

• Ability to develop and execute standard operating procedures

• Skills in continuous improvement initiatives

• Strong analytical skills

• Excellent communication and coordination abilities

Job Type

This is a permanent position.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

Work Environment

This role requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. The candidate must be able to work in extreme temperatures, lift 50 pounds routinely, and handle physical activities such as climbing stairs and ladders, walking long distances, and performing movements like standing, crouching, kneeling, sitting, bending, stretching, twisting, and reaching.
