Sets up and operates the press to produce parts and wraps conforming to specified angles and dimensions of print or to production needs.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Operates the Brake Press and other machinery used in the production process, or assists other machine operators.

  2. Programs the brake press for first production piece, inspects own work with little or no supervision.

  3. Confirms machine set up with periodic checks – maintains quality throughout a production run.

  4. Works in a fast paced environment with fast changing priorities.

  5. Follows established safety and environmental policies, procedures and methods applicable to the work area.

  6. Performs other duties as necessary.

EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

    EXPERIENCE:

  • 2 - 3 years of experience in sheet metal manufacturing and/or assembly environment.

  • Proven experience with CNC (Cincinnati & Amada).

    SKILLS:

    · Basic knowledge of hand tools such as tape measure, wrenches, drills, calipers, etc.

  • Basic level math skills including fractions and decimals and an understanding of angles.

    · Ability to read from a schematic.

    · Ability to identify and determine material thicknesses in gauges.

  • Ability to use problem solving tools to troubleshoot products.

    · Computer skills including MS Office, Lotus Notes and ability to learn Parker business systems.

Pay Rate: $19.50
