Who we are looking for: VML is seeking a Strategy Director, Advanced Analytics to lead analytics-based deliverables across objective setting, performance measurement, dashboarding and data integration, multi-touch attribution analytics and predictive analytics. Working closely with the Account Management, Creative, Strategy, and Media teams, this position provides both and internal and client facing consultative perspective on analytical tools, measurement, and testing. What you'll do: The successful candidate will have experience and expertise in how to intersect consulting skills, data, advanced analytics and marketing strategy to drive and improve clients' business results Deliver best-in-class media attribution roadmaps, including measuring video and digital multi-touch attribution Manage client data ingestion for advanced attribution and modeling Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and groups, facilitating synergy between the Strategy and Investment functions that manage day-to-day client business Build and develop relationships with client business directors and brand teams, ensuring that client and overall data proposition is relevant and aligns with strategy direction Drive a culture of 'always on' data driven decision making that will institutionalize the use of consumer-driven analytics in media / marketing investment planning Grow product delivery and agency revenue organically by cross selling and up selling value add analytical products across client divisions, markets & categories Scope and direct advanced analytics projects to ensure that the deliverables are designed to answer valuable client and media team questions, and that timelines and scope are adhered to Who you are: Critical thinking; drawing conclusions, find creative solutions, structured problem-solving approach Proven ability to communicate complex, technical concepts to non-quantitative audience Ability to build relationships across team, departments, vendors and clients Exceptional oral and written communications skills Ability to effectively manage timelines and deliverables of multiple projects simultaneously What you'll need: 10+ years' experience in media analytics, at an agency, on client side, or some combination of the two Strong understanding and experience with media buying, KPI development and technology practices during campaign planning and execution Strong client management/consultative experience both presenting and resolving issues Strong analytical skills and experience designing analytical solutions to address business problems Proficient knowledge of advanced Excel, Tableau, SQL, Python, R Advanced analytics capabilities in data mining, statistical methodologies / building linear and logarithmic regression models, database management The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below.
