DESCRIPTION
Job Summary:
We are looking for a talented Production Support Associate to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins Inc. facility in Lakewood, NY.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
• Enhance Production Efficiency: Identify and implement process improvements to increase manufacturing efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Support Quality Assurance: Ensure products meet quality standards by conducting regular inspections and addressing any issues promptly.
• Troubleshoot Issues: Quickly diagnose and resolve production-related problems to minimize disruptions and maintain smooth operations.
• Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to support production goals and initiatives.
• Maintain Equipment: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
• Data Analysis: Analyze production data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for cost savings.
• Safety Compliance: Promote and adhere to safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
• Training and Development: Assist in training new employees and continuously develop your own skills to stay current with industry best practices.
RESPONSIBILITIES

• Continuous Learning: Commitment to ongoing training and development to stay updated with industry best practices.
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
• High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
• This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
Requires some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Performs preventative maintenance inspections and tasks per schedule or equipment needs in production and support areas to optimize safety and up-time.
• Ensures all repairs and preventative maintenance are completed according to the manufacturer’s specifications and guidelines.
• Supports implementing new development efforts on the PM programs to address machine failure modes.
• Interacts not only with the team but customers for assigned areas. Obtains all necessary certifications that are pertinent to the specific job.
• Supports PM and work order system development as it relates to PM programs.
