Job Overview:
The Endoscopy Technician is a direct patient caregiver and assists the physicians in the technical aspects of performing endoscopic procedures.
Qualifications:
Required:
High School Graduate
Will train the right candidate for the role
Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA)
Certification in flexible endoscope reprocessing is required within two (2 years) of hire
Preferred:
- Graduate of an endoscopic or surgical technician program; or at least one year experience as an endo tech in a hospital or freestanding endoscopy center preferred

Part-Time
Day Shift
24 hours per week
Essential Functions:
Accurately collects, labels, and delivers specimens as required
Assist physician and RN during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
Demonstrates knowledge of latex allergy and isolation precautions
Provide direct patient care within his or her scope of practice, under the direct supervision of the RN and/or the physician
Provide and maintain a safe environment for staff and patient care by complying with regulatory requirements and standards
Maintain procedure rooms and reprocessing room clean and adequately stocked
Reports patient complaints, problems, and any untoward signs, symptoms or unusual occurrences immediately to the registered nurse
Performs all other duties as assigned
