Position Summary:

The role of the EngineeringAdmin Assistant IIIis to support Western Area Power Administration, located inLakewood, CO.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Screen telephone calls, visitors, and incoming correspondence.

  • Personally respond to requests for information concerning office procedures; determine which requests should be handled by the supervisor, appropriate staff member or other offices.

  • Track all valid work orders within ATAAPS, serve as the ATAAPS timekeeper and liaison for payroll for Office of Design and Engineering.

  • Collect information from the files or staff for routine inquiries on office programs or periodic reports and refer non-routine requests to supervisor or staff.

  • Explain to subordinate staff supervisor’s requirements concerning office procedures, coordinate personnel and administrative forms for the office and forwards for processing.

  • Handles and safeguards drawings or documentation containing “For Official Use Only”.

  • Sets up all travel in Concur for about 60-engineers, as well as providing proper training for the system.

  • Review, revise, and compile project construction specifications and procurement equipment solicitations.

  • Distribute and track contract submittals through the Office of Design and Engineering.

  • Provide clerical support.

  • Back-up and assist OCOO administrative support in their absence.

  • Review, revise, and compile standards, guides, manuals, and orders.

Qualifications

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

  • Bachelor’s DegreeOR equivalent experience of at least 3 years.

  • Must be willing to participate in federal background investigation and drug test.

  • Transparent communicator with superior written and oral communication skills
