Apex Systems, a World-Class Technology Solutions Provider, is currently hiring for a System Integration and Test Engineeron behalf of their client. Position: System Integration and Test Engineer (2035566) Security Clearance Required: Secret #CLEARANCE Pay Rate Range: $150-180k Duration: long-term contract Location:Colorado Springs, CO Additional Details: CompTIA Sec+ certificate (or similar) required Day to Day Responsibilities: Plans, implements, tests, documents, and maintains solutions for the integration and testing of in-house developed and COTS/GOTS components, elements, subsystems and/or systems. Synthesizes customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints. Establishes functional and technical specifications and standards, solves hardware/software interface problems, defines input/output parameters, and ensures integration of the entire system or subsystem. Reviews, evaluates and derives requirements for testability, develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for complete systems and/or subsystems. Coordinates subsystem and/or system testing activities with programs and other organizations. Performs analysis of test results and prepares comprehensive subsystem and/or system level evaluation reports which verify and validate system performance. Writes discrepancy reports and performs integration regression testing to verify/validate incorporated fixes to software, components, subsystems and systems. Required Skills and Experience: Active DOD SECRET clearance (TS/SCI preferred). Must Meet DOD 8570 Requirements (current Security+ or similar). Strong working knowledge of Red Hat. COTS software deployment experience. Strong working knowledge of Linux operating systems. Familiarity with Virtual environments. Familiarity with automation tools / scripting (e.g., GitLab, Ansible). Exceptional troubleshooting skills. Experience writing extensive shell scripts. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Interpersonal relationship skills are a must.? Desired Skills PowerShell scripting experience highly desired. Strong understanding and application of cybersecurity practices (STIG compliance, system accreditation, etc.). Experience with Windows and Linux administration. Container development expertise. Experience with Atlassian tool suite (Jira/Confluence). Enthusiasm to learn new technologies
