Day Shift: $20-$25/hr., based on experience.
POSITION SUMMARY: Installs, maintains and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structure, and pipe and electrical systems in plant, following specifications, blueprints, manuals, and schematic drawings, using hand tools, power tools, hoist, crane, measuring and testing instruments, using specific knowledge of machines. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Inspects, tests, and diagnoses problems with machinery and equipment, using mechanical, electrical and electronic test equipment; discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine. Dismantles defective equipment and installs new or repaired parts following specifications and blueprints, using precision measuring instruments and hand tools. Installs and repairs electrical apparatus (such as transformers and wiring), and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment. Lays out, assembles, installs and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators and related equipment. Installs machinery and equipment according to blueprints and other specifications. Installs programs, or repairs automated machinery and equipment, such as robots or CNCs, or work with subcontractors to have this done. Operates coolant recovery system as required. Operates forklift to perform a variety of tasks. Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment. Performs landscape duties such as mowing lawn or shoveling snow off sidewalk. Communicates with co-workers and supervisors to receive instructions and coordinate activities. Works independently, but as a member of a team, with minimal oversight. Attends work in person, on time, on a regular and reliable basis. Completes all tasks in an accurate, complete and timely manner. Is detail oriented. Follows directions. JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Training and Experience: 5 or more years of trade school, vocational education, work experience, or apprenticeship. Certified to operate forklift. Unrestricted driver's license. Reading and Comprehension: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, drawings and blueprints in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to write routine reports. Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions and decimals. Ability to occasionally interpret graphs. Computer Skills: Ability to enter and retrieve data relevant to job function from computer using ERP system and other software. Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Physical Demands: The employee is required to: - lift up to 60 pounds occasionally, - stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, and bend to the floor. - exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or - exert 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or - exert up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects - work in sometimes awkward positions Visual Acuity: Ability to visually examine machines and other objects to perform job function.
