Overview
The Job in a Nutshell:
The Creative Manager of Employee Engagment Content is responsible for the leadership and full-cycle completion of all creative tasks assigned to the Video Department, and for providing leadership and creativity in strategically marketing the Natural Grocers brand through video. The Video Department creates videos for external use on social media platforms, and also creates internal communication/training videos for our Natural Grocers good4u Crew to build their understanding and appreciation of Natural Grocers brand values. In both of these arenas, the Creative Manager of Video is expected to have a “hands on” mindset and provide whatever’s needed to complete those goals, be that delegation and project management, or direct work in supporting lighting, filming, scriptwriting, editing, and any other needed tasks.

Responsibilities
Main Ingredients:
Collaborate with Director and Executive leadership to define strategy for the Video Department, including proposing new projects/vehicles to increase the impact and reach of our videos on social media and other outlets.
Lead Video Project Production
Collaborate with Store Support Center Departments: Operations, Training, Marketing, and Nutrition Education, Directors, and Executives to produce video projects which effectively communicate the intended message.
Communicate frequently and effectively with these stakeholders.
Lead the entire production process and Video Department Crew, ensuring successful execution of all video projects, including but not limited to the following steps/tasks:
Writing scripts
Casting and talent direction
Graphic development and art direction
Filming, editing, audio and lighting
Ensure that all production deadlines are met.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Manages the Video Department Crew
Performs annual performance reviews
Evaluates/approves/declines time off request
Monitors and approves timecards
Manages deadlines and output to ensure all Video Department Crew achieve a high and sustainable level of productivity.
Provides feedback and direction on video projects
Evaluates new video projects and delegates tasks to appropriate Crew.
Experience managing and storing content in multiple digital asset tools.

Qualifications
Recipe for Success:
High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience is required
5+ years’ experience providing creative and social driven concepts for video marketing
Minimum of 3 years experience in social and corporate communications
Minimum of 3 years of successful management of a creative team.
Expert Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and/or Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Audition, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop.
Strong creative video portfolio
Advanced knowledge of video pre-production, production, and post-production
Proven track record of effectively managing projects and a production team from start to finish
Ability to develop high-level strategies and to be able to adjust alongside shifting goals
Experience collaborating between Executive/creative/marketing leadership and video production to create a premium product
Passion for further developing relationships with our vendor partners, and ability to travel periodically to tell their stories
Success in developing big ideas that forge strong emotional connections between brand and consumer, and supporting those ideas with thorough creative research
Able to demonstrate and understand how to most effectively market and utilize video on social media
Intellectual agility and have a team player mindset
Ability to write and deliver robust scripts and shot lists
Commitment to excellence—working nonstandard hours when necessary, anticipating issues and communicating with diplomacy, identifying emerging platforms and trends to drive innovation
