Key Duties And ResponsibilitiesDrive gasoline or diesel-powered tractor-trailer combination with capacity of more than 3 tons, to transport and deliver corrugated productsDrive truck to destination, applying knowledge of area roads, commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle in difficult situations, such as narrow passagewaysMaintain telephone or radio contact with dispatcher to receive delivery instructionsInspect truck equipment and supplies, such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water before and after trips and submits report indicating truck condition/defectsMaintain driver log according to state and federal regulationsPosition wheel chocks secure truck during unloadingMay assist workers in loading and unloading truckPhysical RequirementsOccasionally stand and walkContinuously sitOccasionally push/pullOccasionally bend, squat, twist, kneel and crouchContinuously use hand, foot controlContinuously use hands for graspingOccasionally carry or lift up to 50 lbs.Continuously use head and neck in flex and rotatingOccasionally reach above shoulder levelOccasionally be in dusty conditionsOccasionally be around moving machineryOccasionally operate a forkliftFrequently climb to a height of 5 feetOccasionally operate hand toolsOther Certifications Required Or DesiredDOT Approved Class A LicenseIndustrial Truck Operator CertificateCompensation & benefitsThe starting wage for this position is $27.93/hour plus $1.00/hour shift differentialRobust benefit offeringsEducation DesiredHigh School Diploma or EquivalentEqual Opportunity Employer - minorities/females/veterans/individuals with disabilities/sexual orientation/gender identity
