As a Manager, Credit & Collections you will support the vision and goals of Hearth & Home Technologies (HHT) by supporting the overall management and administration of credit and collection activities for the HHT manufacturing segment. Primary focus of position is to lead a team to reduce Total Delinquent Balances and Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), while minimizing credit risk in the trade receivables portfolio. What you will do: Manage the overall credit and collection process which includes frequent direct contact with customers on disputes and problem resolution. Develop effective relationships with all relevant internal customers (most notably sales team and HHT management). Provide pertinent value added information and guidance so that issues are resolved on a timely basis. Work closely with both internal and external customers to provide effective solutions in managing difficult customer relationships. Facilitate meetings with troubled accounts as necessary, in conjunction with sales team. Solicit payment for overdue accounts. Investigate credit worthiness of new customers and establish credits limits and payment terms for these customers. Establish policies and procedures to manage credit limits and payment terms for existing customers. Establish policies and procedures for releasing customer sales orders andpayment plans for severely delinquent accounts. Perform account reconciliation and research to conduct accurate customer communication and collection activities. Maintain relationship with 3rd party financing program administrator. Directly manage a team; effectively support and promote the development of staff. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration or related field OR equivalent combination of education and experience 5 or more years of relevant credit experience Proficient with computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Outlook) Strong customer service skills Ability to adapt to continuous improvement driven change with a positive attitude Analytical ability Understanding of financial statements and financial analysis Ability to anticipate the impact of a selected course of action Prior supervisory experience About Working for Hearth & Home Technologies Take ownership of your career with a job that ignites your passions and rewards your hard work.
