I State Truck Inc General Manager of Power Generation Service in Lakeville, Minnesota

Power System's Lakeville Minnesota location is looking for a General Manager for Power Generation Service, this is a crucial role to expand our generator service business as an MTU/ Rolls Royce Distributor in 12 states. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of growing a successful business. The focus is to organize the department, create and implement duplicable processes for each branch within the company. Also focusing on our sales effort to grow our service business in the branches. Help develop our technician training program, recruiting technicians, and salespeople. This position reports to the Vice President of Generator Service. The General Manager will have P&L responsibility across the entire department. The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, work with Branch management to implement change, drive service sales growth, ensuring excellent customer service. General Manager Responsibilities: Ensure all service and sales operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way. Improve operational management systems, processes, and best practices. Purchase materials, plan inventory and oversee efficiency. Help the organization's processes remain legally compliant. Formulate strategic and operational objectives. Examine financial data and use them to improve profitability. Manage budgets and forecasts. Perform quality controls and monitor KPIs. Recruit, train and supervise staff. Find ways to increase quality of customer service. General Manager Skills/Qualities: Exceptional interpersonal, leadership and communication skills Must have technical knowledge of Power Generation products, preferably MTU/Rolls Royce Strong grasp and understanding of Power Generation theory. Experience in Data Centers is a strong preference. Strong leadership to guide and direct the department. Manage a team of 10-12 direct reports nationwide. 12 State assigned area of coverage. A self-starter who can observe the strengths present in a location and utilize those strengths to develop a positive business plan. Experience with profit and loss statements, budgeting, and basic inventory control Proven background in service, sales, or business ownership Clear understanding of profitability, customer service, sales, and marketing General Manager Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent Ability to work with Service Team and Sales Team. Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management Experience budgeting and forecasting Familiarity with business and financial principles Excellent communication skills Proven leadership skills and ability Outstanding organizational skills Experience as a manager at this level with the ability to manage employees and processes.
