Join the Publix Technology Warehousing Support Team as a Quality Assurance Engineer where you will utilize your skills in Waterfall, Agile/Scrum and test automation expertise to plan, design, document, test and validate results for multiple warehousing system efforts. You will be performing all QA activities throughout the software lifecycle. The ideal candidate will be experienced working with developers, requirements analysts, cross-functional teams, and QA testers, and coordinating the testing work among them. We are seeking someone who has knowledge and experience with Waterfall and Agile/Scrum methodologies, test automation development, and is comfortable working in an environment that releases code to production regularly and rapidly.
Responsibilities:
Working with Warehousing Systems project and scrum teams to understand system requirements and specifications.
Analyze each Product Backlog Items to understand requirements and determine if any were missed or need more specifics for accomplishing business request.
Creating comprehensive test cases for new and existing systems with input from systems analysts and programmers matching the acceptance criteria in user stories and maintaining these knowledge-based test cases to guarantee effective regression testing.
Participating in requirements, design, and product backlog refinement meetings to establish test effort estimates.
Analyzing project documentation, release notes and other project artifacts to identify test scenarios.
Translating requirements, release notes and design documentation into test cases
Working with scrum teams to create and validate acceptance criteria for product backlog items.
Building and executing test cases, test sets and test scripts and capturing test results
Participating in team discussions concerning automated test scripts design and development
Multi-tasking with numerous development efforts prioritizing personal workload, understanding risks, and escalating issues when necessary.

Year End Bonus:
As a year-end bonus to associates, Publix issues one month’s extra pay (pro-rated in the first year) each year if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check that year. This is calculated as a 13th month of pay in the Potential Annual Pay with Bonus line above.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related analytical field or equivalent experience
4+ years of experience or equivalent experience working in a software application development life cycle environment.
3+ years of experience or equivalent experience working in windows environment to test applications, interfaces and/or vendor packages.
3+ years of experience creating SQL queries to use in validating test results and setting up test data.
3+ years of experience analyzing features and system requirements and translating into test cases and scenarios.
3+ years of experience creating test cases and test summaries.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working on Agile scrum team.
Experience working with Azure DevOps
Experience using APIs to support test activities.
Experience leading testing for small to medium software applications
Experience creating test plans.
Knowledge of the build and deploy processes.
Experience executing automated test cases using an automated testing framework including Selenium WebDriver, Appium, Android SDK, and Katalon Recorder
Experience with Visual Studio and knowledge of C# to create or update automation test scripts.
Experience with Kafka, Biztalk, MQ, and XML
Knowledge of warehouse operations inbound and outbound processes
Knowledge of building test data repositories for test automation
Experience collaborating with business areas to complete acceptance and parallel testing.
