Job Description

A client of Insight Global's is looking for a Lead Network Engineer to join their team. This positions is ideal for someone who is a strong network engineer looking to advance into a leadership role. This role will focused on ticketing and project based work. Examples of projects this role would be supporting on wireless redesign, install access points, switch replacements, changes in firewalls, supporting the new internet service they are trying to move, and helping with new buildings. This lead position will oversee two team full-time members and two interns. This will be a full-time role 5 days a week on-site.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelors degree in IT related field or 6+ years of equivalent experience

  2+ years of experience as a Network Engineer

  Experience working in a smaller shop and having in hand in all projects

  Experience managing phone systems

  Strong experience in firewalls and wireless

  Background in cisco but, vendor agnostic

  Experience as a lead or looking to grow into that position

  Great communication skills

Ability to manage and break down tasks for direct reports Cisco Certifications

  Juniper Certifications

  Arista Certifications

  General knowledge of systems

  Jira ticketing system
