We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Family Law Attorney in the non-profit industry, located in Lakeland, Florida. In this role, you will be tasked with conducting interviews, providing legal assistance, representing clients, and maintaining accurate records among other responsibilities. Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive interviews to ascertain client eligibility and identify their legal issues

• Provide appropriate legal assistance to clients, which may encompass advice, referrals, or representation

• Represent clients in court proceedings and before various administrative agencies

• Maintain precise documentation, statistical data, and other records as necessitated by higher management

• Attend case acceptance meetings and actively participate in discussions

• Engage in training to update Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credits and legally relevant training

• Exhibit professionalism and courtesy in all interactions with clients and staff, providing constructive feedback when necessary

• Foster good relations with the public, including client groups, service providers, press, and private bar, attending and speaking at local meetings as appropriate

• Uphold familiarity with organizational policies, as well as the requirements of legal service corporations and other funders, adhering to those policies and requirements

• Manage an accurate follow-up system to review cases when needed

• Handle additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Possess a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.

• Have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Family Law Attorney.

• Be a member in good standing with the local State Bar.

• Have proficiency in using 3M, Adobe Acrobat, and other legal document management software.

• Have experience in using Case Management Software and Conveyancer.

• Demonstrate excellent skills in document management and briefing.

• Have substantial experience in civil litigation.

• Be well-versed in claim administration and complaint handling.

• Have knowledge in consumer electronics.

• Show commitment to the non-profit sector and its unique set of challenges and rewards.

• Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Exhibit strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.

• Have proven ability to work effectively with diverse populations.

• Be able to work independently and as part of a team.

• Display high ethical standards and professionalism in all interactions.
