Kelly Services CAD/CAE Test Fixture Engineer in Lakeland, Florida

CAD/CAE Test Fixture Engineer

  • Duration : Estimated to end 1/7/2026 - (Contract extension expected/internal hire possibilities)

  • Location: Lakeland, Florida (33815) - (Hybrid Potential)

  • Travel: Less than 10%. Yes, to both AZ and Tijuana, Mexico locations.

The hiring manager is open to candidates willing to relocate at their own expense and confirming they will be in the State within the next 3 weeks from an accepted official offer.

Job Summary:

  • Prepares and maintains detailed design drawings, schematics, or specifications using computer-aided design software.

  • Works closely with design originators (e.g., engineers, designers) to resolve design details or discrepancies.

  • Creates, modifies, and controls detailed two- and three-dimensional parts and assembly drawings from engineers' and technicians' sketches, plans, and written and verbal instructions.

Day To Day Responsibilities:

  • CAD & drafting designer duties

  • Reverse engineer test fixtures.

  • Designing new CAD and redrafting of existing test fixtures.

  • Submit drawing through documentation and gain approvals from stakeholders.

  • Write engineering change orders.

  • 3D & 2D modeling.

  • Documentation control, working with SolidWorks PDM and WindChill PDM.

Required:

  • Minimum 6 experience of 3D & 2D modeling experience.

  • CAD with strong preference for SolidWorks.

  • SolidWorks PDM is highly preferred.

  • GD&T is highly preferred

  • Certifications with SolidWorks proficiencies and/or GD&T preferred.

Work Authorization:

  • Must be able to work in the United States with current employment authorization documents.
