Job Title: Warehouse Worker

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for picking and labeling finished goods boxes, stacking and loading products on trailers and skids, and using various equipment such as sit-down forklifts, manual and electric pallet jacks, and lift tables. The role also involves scheduling pickups from carriers, using UPS and FedEx portals, and communicating effectively with other warehouse personnel, saw department staff, and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Pick and label finished goods boxes

• Stack and load products on trailers and skids

• Operate sit-down forklifts, manual and electric pallet jacks, and lift tables

• Schedule pickups from carriers

• Use UPS and FedEx portals for shipping

• Communicate with other warehouse personnel, saw department staff, and customer service

• Efficiently stage products in and out of warehouse locations

• Use computer software for inventory adjustments, inventory location, inventory inquiries, label production, and order transactions

• Read and prepare forms and reports related to shipments

• Communicate packaging inventory levels to Lead

• Follow packaging instructions listed on job router

• Participate in production department housekeeping

Essential Skills

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

• Good written and verbal communication

• Basic computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• Knowledge of basic mathematics

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in inventory management

• Experience in shipping and receiving

• General production assistance

• Quality assurance

• Experience with RF scanners

• Material handling

Work Environment

You will work in a precision CNC job shop with a fast-paced environment. The facility is climate-controlled with air conditioning in the summer and heating in the winter. The second shift hours are from 3 pm to 11:30 pm.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lake Zurich, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr.
