Northwell Health Writer/Editor-Flexstaff (TEMP) in Lake Success, New York

Produces and edits long and short form content for internal and external printing, digital periodicals, and other communication vehicles as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Investigates and writes articles for print and digital publication, highlighting key message points related to information technology.

  • Edits and proofs copy to ensure relevance and accuracy.

  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders to ensure appropriateness of content.

  • Interviews staff members/clinicians within and outside Information Services.

  • Performs additional research as required.

  • Confirms accuracy with clinicians and/or staff.

  • Performs related duties, as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in English, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field, required. Master's Degree, preferred.

  • Minimum of five (5) years of professional related experience, writing artifacts geared toward multiple, diverse audiences, required.

  • Comprehensive portfolio of long and short-form storytelling, required.

  • Proven ability to analyze, synthesize and relay complex stories in simple ways, required.

  • Substantial background in journalism-style research and interviewing.

  • Familiarity with health care/medicine, wellness or life sciences, preferred.

  • Excellent organizational skills and proficient in MS Office, required.

The salary range for this position is $66-$66/hour
