Summary
The IT Technical Trainer will be responsible for planning, designing, and delivering comprehensive training courses and materials for Greenbrier employees and partners. This role requires a seasoned professional capable of utilizing various instructional methods including instructional videos, job aids, instructor-led sessions (both in-person and virtual), and e-learning modules. The trainer will also play a key role in planning the training calendar and collaborating with other training partners to ensure standardization across all training initiatives. We are looking for someone with a focus on process, a passion for progressing learning and development with an emphasis in technology and common IT processes, knowledge of innovative learning techniques and demonstrated listening, writing, communication and presentation skills.
Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform the following essential duties satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned to address business needs and changing business practices.
Plan, Design, and Deliver Training: Develop and implement effective, competency-based training programs tailored to Greenbrier employees' needs and strategic goals.
Identify and Curate 3rd Party Training Content: Source and evaluate external training materials to supplement internal training programs.
Conduct Needs Assessments: Identify training needs through surveys, interviews, and analysis of performance data to ensure training programs address the right skills and knowledge gaps.
Instructional Methods: Utilize a variety of instructional methods, including instructional videos, job aids, instructor-led sessions (both in-person and virtual), and e-learning modules.
Training Calendar: Participate in the planning and scheduling of the training calendar to ensure timely and relevant training sessions.
Collaboration: Work closely with other training partners at Greenbrier to ensure consistency and standardization in training content and delivery.
Continuous Improvement: Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary adjustments to improve learning outcomes.
Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive training materials and documentation.
Support: Provide ongoing support and guidance to trainees to ensure the successful application of learned skills.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
Experience: Proven track record of designing and delivering effective IT training programs.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Education, or a related field. Or equivalent experience.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of instructional design and adult learning principles
Investigative mind with a strong technical aptitude and desire to learn new technologies.
Ability to explain complicated technical processes and concepts in easy-to-understand terms
Proficiency in using various training tools and technologies.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Experience delivering training in both virtual/remote environments and in-person classrooms
Proficiency with Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Comfortable working in a Windows/Microsoft environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Bi-lingual English / Spanish, preferred
Familiarity with tools such as Camtasia, Smartsheet
Experience working within the manufacturing industry a plus
