About the Role:

The Regional Client Solutions and Engagement Manager will coach, mentor, and develop branch team members in the UB WAY in support of the Retail and Regional Bank structure. RCSEM will coordinate with Market Leadership and the Marketing team to create and drive promotional campaigns focused on deepening client’s relationships and revenue generation.

This position serves as a catalyst for digital deployment and adoption of solutions to effectively ensure we meet when and how clients want to Bank. In conjunction with Regional Manager, develop and then execute upon annual regional sales and marketing plans to achieve targeted goals. Collaborate with the Operational and Leadership teams within Retail to maintain one shared voice.

  • Lead and implement sales initiatives to support regional goals by creating and fostering a culture of exceptional client service and sales.

  • Enhance the sales solutions and service skills of branch team members by collaboratively mentoring retail team members.

  • Lead and drive successful adoption of UB Way as a “way” of daily operating associated with Extraordinary Leadership, Sports Coaching, Client Financial Review, and B2B Banking.

  • Develop and deploy ongoing the UB Way sales /solutions programs of Focused Performance Meetings, Clinics, Observational Feedback, Rounds, and all tools associated with the CB Way.

  • Create and implement tools to deepen client relationships with Client Financial Reviews.

  • Support the Region to meet or exceed region production goals in lending, deposit, and NII/revenue generation.

  • Identify innovative ideas and enhancement of ways to generate revenue and enriched sales and service performance through non-traditional and traditional channels.

  • Develop promotions to meet Bank initiatives focused on deepening client needs.

  • Establish goals, track, and report promotion results.

  • Drive communication, inspiration, and recognition on campaign result.

  • Work with Branch Managers on the successful onboarding of new team members in relation to sales solutions and client engagement.

  • Develop toolkits, job aids and sales support such as conversation starters and one-sheets.

  • Build reward and recognition programs to include campaigns, promotions, quarterly and annual awards.

  • Coordinate in conjunction with peers and Regional Managers Bank wide Sales & Services meetings.

  • Develop and deploy consistent messaging on client solutions and engagement.

  • Develop and maintain the LOBBY for sales focused support included client tools, recognition, promotional results, quick tips, best practices.

  • Maintain close working relationship with operational partners to ensure leading with onevoice.

  • Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities – knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes.

  • Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training.

  • Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations as applicable to this job description.

  • May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert.

  • Actively learns, demonstrates, and fosters the Umpqua corporate culture in all actions and words.

  • May perform other duties as assigned.

About You:

  • 7+ years’ retail banking management experience or commercial equivalent

  • Proven change management leadership skills

  • Ability to understand the importance of technology in the retail banking model.

  • Consumer and Small Business Lending experience

  • Solid understanding of operating and compliance regulations.

  • High School diploma or GED

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Previous experience in supporting multiple retail banking locations desired.

  • Experience with supporting sales goals and budgets of multiple locations

  • Experience in identifying potential development and implementation of a marketing plan to gain new business and retain existing customers.

  • Demonstrated sales leadership skills.

  • Excellent communication and interaction skills.

  • Self-starter, initiative with proven leadership skills.

  • Exceptional customer service skills.

  • Dependable, flexible.

  • Proven leadership abilities in managing multiple layers in retail or commercial management.

  • Ability to travel.

Workstyle: Fully onsite.

Our Benefits:

We offer a competitive total rewards package including basewagesand comprehensive benefits. Thepayrange for this role is $85,000.00- $115,000.00 and the pay rate for theselected candidate isdependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The rolemay beeligible for performance-based incentive compensation and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
