We are in the process of recruiting an Accounts Payable Specialist or a client based in Lake Oswego, OR. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity and involves various responsibilities related to accounts payable.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently handle the processing of customer credit applications and maintain accurate records.

• Utilize accounting software systems for efficient management of accounting functions.

• Handle the manual tracking of payments and ensure all transactions are recorded accurately.

• Be responsible for bill pay, ensuring all payments are made promptly and accurately.

• Execute the cutting of checks and handle all associated tasks.

• Use Automated Clearing House (ACH) for payment and transaction purposes.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for maintaining and analyzing financial data.

• Conduct regular audits to ensure all financial transactions are in order.

Requirements

• Proficient in Account Coding, with a strong ability to assign appropriate codes to different types of expenses.

• Familiarity with Accounting Software Systems, and ability to use them efficiently for various accounting functions.

• Previous experience using QuickBooks is highly preferred

• Experienced in handling Accounts Payable (AP), including processing invoices, verifying financial documents, and performing reconciliations.

• Strong Auditing skills, with the ability to identify discrepancies and irregularities in financial documents.

• Knowledge of Automated Clearing House (ACH) procedures, and ability to manage electronic payments and collections efficiently.

• Proficient in using Microsoft Excel for data analysis, financial modeling, and accounting calculations
