This position works out of our Lake Forest IL location in the Core Diagnostics Division.

What You’ll Work On

Responsible for providing financial planning and analysis services to Abbott Core DX Global Commercial HQ. Position will be expected to complete a wide range of financial services and deliverables which assist management in timely and accurate preparation of quarterly LBEs/confirmations, monthly actual reporting and other ad-hoc analysis.

Main Responsibilities Include:

• The Financial Analyst is a financial partner and counsel to Global Marketing Operations (GMO) and Global Commercial Excellence (GCE) and is responsible for financial planning and analysis, decision support and project support.

• Key aspects of the role include meeting with business partners (GMO and GCE teams) to review actual results and gain intelligence for forecasts and other analytics, reviewing actual results.

• Support the monthly closing process, including the preparation of journal entries and conducting research across multiple financial systems. Provides analytical insight into budget variances and performance.

• Verify that monthly departmental expense, payroll & HR information is accurate.

• Support other Ad Hoc finance requests or enquiries from business partners.

• Prepares and presents dashboards and reporting packages for actuals and forecasts.

• Participates in the consolidation of financial results and forecasts and assists Finance manager with ad-hoc analysis and preparation of review materials for presentation to Business and Finance leaders.

• Prepare and distribute financial reports and packages by gathering and analyzing information related to current performance vs. prior year, plan, and latest forecast.

• Assist in identification and implementation of process improvements.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with concentration in accounting or finance.

• Prior financial planning and/or cost accounting experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficient with financial modeling tools including Excel, PowerPoint, and other FP&A applications (TM1, SAP, HFM, Ariba, SRM)

• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact with and support business partners.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work on multiple priorities and execute in a fast-paced environment.

The base pay for this position is $60,000.00 – $120,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
