Our client, the medical device manufacturing industry, is seeking a buyer to join their team. This person needs to have sourcing knowledge of Ariba and learn Coupa.

Job Title: Buyer II

Location: Lake bluff , IL

Pay Range: $25 - $27/hr on W2

What’s the Job?

Plan, perform, and administer purchasing system activities to assure that all assigned projects are delivered within required delivery, quality, compliance, and process parameters. Conduct and document procurement activities and negotiations to support prudent system updates to include New Vendor Additions. Maintain ongoing interface with various departments to assure Project Completion and timelines are consistent with deliverables. Monitor open order request. Take appropriate corrective action on Reporting activities. Take an active leadership role on assigned projects. Frequently required to develop Excel spreadsheets as a visual reporting mechanism to management.

• Experienced Work on projects that involve the use of systems like SAP/Ariba/Coupa

• Have experience and working knowledge of purchasing and sourcing activities

• Frequently required to develop Excel spreadsheets as a visual reporting mechanism to management.

• Self-managed; can take control of own activities and report weekly

• Act as primary point of contact for end users

• Lead resolution on System Projects

• Vendor on-boarding activities

• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations

• Coordinate with various internal departments, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure efficient and cost-effective procurement of goods and services

• Detail-oriented with strong communication, organizational, and time management skills

• Provide training and support to staff, empowering them to utilize eProcurement systems effectively
