Job Title: Structures Mechanic

Job Description

The Structures Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, overhauling, repairing, modifying, and troubleshooting airframe parts, systems, and components. This role involves performing sheet metal repairs and fabrications on ailerons, longerons, flaps, joints, panels, aircraft skin, and other structural components. The Structures Mechanic will also carry out sheet metal modifications, particularly during C & D checks on aircraft.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, overhaul, repair, modify, and troubleshoot airframe parts, systems, and components.

• Perform sheet metal repairs and fabrications of ailerons, longerons, flaps, joints, panels, aircraft skin, and other structural components.

• Conduct sheet metal modifications.

• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with industry standards and regulations during C & D checks.

Essential Skills

• Experience with aircraft interior, aviation structures, repair, and modifications.

• Proficiency in sheet metal mechanic work, including fabrication and modification.

• Knowledge of heavy maintenance procedures on Boeing and Airbus aircraft.

• Experience in MRO environments performing heavy maintenance and modifications.

• Minimum of 2 years of aircraft structural maintenance and/or sheet metal repair and fabrication experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working with Boeing aircraft models such as B737, B757, B767, and B777.

• Ability to work in a large MRO environment with multiple hangars.

• Flexibility to work on 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts and some weekends.

• Possession of own tools and steel toe shoes

Work Environment

Work in extremely large MRO/Heavy Maintenance hangars with multiple hangars on site. Shifts are flexible, with 1st shift from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, 2nd shift from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, and 3rd shift from 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM. Employees must have steel toe shoes and their own tools.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
