Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector is seeking a Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist/ Principal Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist to join our growing team of diverse professionals.
Responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to:
Sources and procures specialized material goods and services including Consultant services
Manages and develops strategic/key suppliers
Owns contractual management for the Supplier and coordinates and collaborates regularly with key stakeholders such as contracts, engineering, quality, supplier development, planning, operations, programs, business development/capture, operations, and other end-users
Responsible for source selection from contract proposal to execution phases
Assists with the development of subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions for the procurement of specialized material goods and services, including Consultant services
Prepares bid packages, analyzes and evaluates proposals, negotiates subcontract provisions, selects or recommends subcontractors, writes awards, and administers and tracks resulting subcontracts
Evaluates and monitors Supplier’s quality and reliability, as well as ability to support required schedules
Identifies strategies and opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and manage risk through strategic and targeted negotiations
Manages performance of subcontracts and ensures compliance with all public law requirements as well as company (and business) policies and procedures including import/export regulations
Employs sound business practices and assesses Supplier performance as part of regular and frequent follow-up activities.
Ensures that appropriate documentation is provided for all contract deliverables so that material receipts can be recorded and/or proper acceptance can be performed
Reviews and approves payments for services in conjunction with functional requesters
Administers the daily activity of the Corporate L316 anti-corruption policy including, but not limited to, performing due diligence, maintaining tracking of activity, and helping others as the Sector subject matter expert for Global Supply Chain
Contributes to the overall learning and development of Global Supply Chain and other stakeholders in both Consulting and L316 Administration as well as other various Global Supply Chain topics
Supports and participates on contract surveillance activities as directed by Supply Chain Compliance
Basic Qualifications :
Must have a High school diploma or GED with at least 6 years of related experience; will consider 2 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree
Ability to collaborate with program management and other multi-functional teams
Ability to multi-task and make sound decisions in a timely manner
Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to work in a very fast paced environment
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
SAP experience
Government contract knowledge and/or experience
Microsoft office proficiency
Salary Range: $62,200 - $93,400
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
