Project Overview:
The Infrastructure Global Business Unit (GBU) is executing site civil and marine scopes of work associated with our scopes of work on the Energy LNG projects. The candidate will serve as the Project Planner/Scheduler on the Louisiana LNG project. The project formerly known as Driftwood LNG is an approximately 27.6 mtpa liquefaction export facility. The first phase will include two LNG plants with an export capacity of up to 11 million tons per annum (mtpa). The work location is Lake Charles, LA.
Job Summary:
In this role, you will be responsible for estimating, analysis and control activities for projects with significant non-routine requirements or for cost activities which require a high degree of technical skill. You will prepare cost studies, review cost trends, and develop and implement project requirements for cost control. Your detailed analysis will provide innovative solutions to cost engineering challenges. #LI-
Major Responsibilities:
Performs routine cost estimating, analysis, and control activities, as directed
Supports the implementation of cost monitoring and control standards, techniques, systems, and reports
Assists with budget allocation and reporting/cost control for specific construction discipline or group of disciplines
Prepares cost data for proposals or contracts
Identifies and supports cost trend program and reports schedule impacts to management.
Interfaces with designated Bechtel management and client counterparts for specific cost presentations.
Participates in developing and presenting training classes on designated subjects and on-the- job training for specific processes and practices.
Coordinates the development and accuracy of cost reports
Verifies consistency with previous reports to ensure compatibility and consistency
Prepares specific budgets in accordance with prescribed standards and procedures
Collects and classifies cost data
Performs budget allocation and reporting/cost control regime for specific construction discipline or group of disciplines
Prepares cost studies using historical data, statistical analysis, and cost and quantity comparisons
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Minimum of 2-3 years of project controls experience.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel.
Experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing cost engineering functions, which include cost estimating, cost control, cost analysis and financial reporting.
Skilled in oral and written communication.
Demonstrated skill in identifying, analyzing, and solving problems.
Experience in other areas of project controls (planning, scheduling, estimating, etc.) desirable.
Intermediate level of knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup work processes.
PowerBI experience.
