job summary:

The Shipping Specialist is responsible for overseeing all activities related to the management, preparation, and shipping of customer orders. This role requires a strong understanding of customer requirements and proactive planning to ensure timely fulfillment, effective coordination across distribution centers, and maintenance of a safe, organized shipping dock. Key Responsibilities: Order Fulfillment & Customer Satisfaction: -Thoroughly understand and act on customer requirements to meet expectations. -Plan and manage order processing for timely picking, packing, and shipping. -Identify and resolve any order issues to ensure smooth processing. -Communicate order progress and report any delays to distribution leaders. Inventory & Transfers: -Coordinate transfers between distribution centers to support order completion. -Plan inventory moves and cycle counting to maintain accurate stock levels. -Identify and correct any inventory discrepancies. Shipping Operations: -Prepare orders for shipping and load trailers. -Manage the systematic shipping process in alignment with ERP, WMS, and TMS systems. -Maintain an organized and safe shipping dock, addressing any operational failures or safety risks. Qualifications: -Previous experience in order management, distribution, or shipping roles is preferred. -Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. -Detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize and execute in a fast-paced environment.

salary: $21/hr

work hours: 6:00AM to 2:30PM
