FirstService Residential Landscape Coordinator in Lake Barrington, Illinois

Job Overview:

As a Landscape Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for supporting the efforts of the Landscape Manager with a focus on day-to-day operations, work requests, and owner landscape improvement requests.The Landscape Manager serves as the head for landscape and lake andpondsoperations under the direction of the Executive Director and in coordination with the Landscape Commission and Lake and Ponds Commission.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Respond to all phone calls, emails, andmisccorrespondence from Unit Owners related to landscape and lake / ponds.

  • Meet with Unit Owners as needed to review maintenance issues, new planting requests, and other landscape related issues.

  • Process Work Orders as needed; obtainadditionalinformation or pictures for estimated Work Orders and send to the contractor.

  • Process contractor estimates for LC Reps review and approval. Add approved items to work order system. Send updates to Reps and contractor for their records.

  • Review monthly Work Order reports. Send out bi-weekly maintenance Work Orderreports,to contractors, highlighting open work orders that need to be completed.

  • Writearticles for Shores Weekly updating and informing Unit owners about LBS landscape activities.

  • Assist Landscape Manager in review of Unit Owner Variances for plantings andhard surfacerenovations. As variance issubmittedcontinue the process from commission tocondoto notifying Unit Owner of Variance status. Check application for compliance and requestadditionalinformation if needed. Work with Unit owner to resolve problems. Write up recommendations for Commission and Condo review. Send out approval letter to Unit Owner.

  • Available for Condo landscape inspections. Meet with Condo Reps to review landscape maintenance and new landscape enhancements.

  • Review Work Order Spreadsheet annually compiling information for seasonal comparison

Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Horticultural, Landscape Management or similar preferred

Minimum of 5 years of landscape maintenance experience

Proficient in MS Word,Exceland Outlook

Critical thinking, problem solving, judgement and decision-making abilities are necessary.

Proficiencyin computer programs like Microsoft Office, Outlook and Windowsrequired.

Ability to work with sensitive and/or confidential information.
