ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Work within the planning process to ensure that there is material and capacity available to support both Customer commitments and planned delivery schedules
Coordinate with Purchasing group to ensure that purchase requisitions are placed, and purchased materials are delivered to meet scheduled requirements
Relay relevant information to management regarding material shortages, potential schedule interruptions, and upcoming equipment maintenance that would affect on-time delivery
Monitor part availability before releasing work orders
Assist with compiling Job Packet, and Work Orders for delivery to Warehouse and Assembly personnel.
Analyze data, prepare reports, and administrative duties assigned by the Manager.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED required, work-related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
1-5 years of Planning or Purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Excellent knowledge of production planning and quality control principles.
Experience in MRP II (Manufacturing resource planning).
Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems.
BEHAVIORAL ABILITIES
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Strong Team Player.
Excellent interpersonal communication abilities.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Sitting: for extended periods without being able to leave the work area
Standing - for extended periods without being able to leave the work area
Walking - considerable distances, please indicate
Lifting - Up to 50 Lbs. minimal and occasionally
Grasping - regularly picks up objects with fingers
Reaching - regularly required to use hands and arms to reach objects
Stooping / Crouching – regularly required to bend forward by bending at the waist or by bending legs and spine
Color Determination – requires color determination (no color blindness)
Speaking - requires expressing ideas through the spoken word
Listening - requires the perception of speech or the nature of sounds in the air
